They could do this for you, but!!!. your standard turbo will last all of about 2 minutes i would say, so yes, u will need extra stuff to get you upto 225bhp, i.e, hybrid turbo, fmic ect ectmoditsteve said:Hi i have just checked out the allard AMC Super Tuning Chip, it says that with originall power/torque @ 130/228 and u then fit the chip (part number AMC225) it bumps it up to a gobsmackin.. 225/335 for a total £425?????
There has to be a catch????

Yes this is also true, although, the week i had mine before i had my uprated clutch from work fitted, it coped remarkably well with the extra power, no slip at all.Johnsey said:You'll need a new clutch too...
Unit 26, Sabre Close, Quedgeley, GLOUCESTER is their address
Oh der, what is happening? devonmikeyboy is the first of us lot to do it, then i do it, and now it seems there are alot more people interestedAnt FR said:yeah i just got my stage 3 priced up from Allards, count down coming on.......
Yes thats true, and now my bank manager is having a field day with my assAskara said:talk to spaniels_fr his ibiza has seen them.. and hes spent a **** load with them... but its woth it!
m0rk said:that's not right... it's the 2nd turbo failure they've seen, just they didn't warrant the 1st.......
Already on turbo no 3 my friend. First one wasnt covered by warranty as it was second hand, off a car that had had an accident. That failed as the vanes siezed due to 2 bolts coming off and the turbo misaligning or something. The second one was a brand new turbo, with a nice 6 months warranty. I had really no choice other than to buy it, as there was no way i was going back to a standard kkk turbo after experiancing the hybrid one.m0rk said:isn't he soon to be on Turbo #3 though?
Yeah because before i let this crazy woman drive it, who crunched my gearbox, and gave my clutch a right old bashing, my pooooooor babyAskara said:lol yus hes on turbo #3 now... but things last longer when you treat them right!
You saying i dont know my stuff Ant?Ant FR said:yeah thats the only thing that worries me. Although AMD never had any problems with their Hybrids and DEVon Mikey never had a problem with his allard conversion ( which is the one Spaniels bought)
If anyone wants any advice on Tdi tuning or allards you can't go far wrong talking to Mike, he really knows his stuff.
YES, the second one was run in properly, i didnt give it a pasting for about a week afterwards, and i had covered a fair few miles on it aswell. My driving style is i would say enthusiastic, but also can drive respectfull and slowly and echonomically when i want to, ie long trips own to surrey or essex everyother weekendAnt FR said:But the second one, well not sure, i wonder if he ran it in properly. Not sure can't comment as i do not know his driving styles.
Yep, that is correct, another first for me LMFAO, but like i said before, Allards are a very good company, and really know how to look after there customersmaxcars1 said:Correct Spaniels first turbo was taken from Devons Cupra and as such was never given a guarantee by Allards. The second turbo did blow and is currently with TurboActive for investigation. Apparently, this is the first instance of turbo failiure Allard have experienced with TurboActive.

spaniels fr said:and that i may infact be out driving the cars capabilities, or shall we say, the capabilities of the turbo.![]()
devonmikeyboy said:The first turbo didn't have any warranty because Spaniels bought it direct from me not Allards, all Allards did was fit it. I dont know why either turbo went bang for.My old turbo had a visual check before being put on Spaniels car. Just a case of real bad luck i guess.![]()
