alloy wheel size help

hi guys. im just bout to buy some new alloys for my lcr. now what size do i need 18 x 7.5 or 18 x 8. i will be buying alloys only without tyres, so the old ones must fit, they are 18/40/225.
i did a quick search on the forum but couldnt find the answer i was looking for lol
so any help would be great

it doesn't matter if there 7-9" to be honest

8 is very popular 9 would be a bit of a stretch.

I think there 7.5

so would i be best to get 7.5 if im keeping my old tyres. i just bought 4 pilots and they were not cheap lol

No you'd still use that tyre size on a 8 or even a 8.5" rim

I'm running 8's now and was running 8.5's before both with 225 40 18
