Alpine iDA-X305

Afternoon All,

I have been looking at getting a new HU to link my iPhone 3G into the car. I think i am heading in the direction of the Alpine iDA-X305. Has anyone fitted one of these and if so any comments / recommendations. Would i need anything other than what comes in the box to fit it to a standard LCR??

Also there is a cheaper option of the iDA x100 - Is it worth spending the £50 difference for the 350??

Anyone got any other (cheaper) suggestions??

i have the x001-even older than the x100 let alone the x305.The major difference is the x305 is made for iphone so no problems with connection etc,the x100 seems to have intermittent problems with playing music with this unit (as does the itouch) although with the iphone most people have found once they have the correct version of software all is good.

yep a cde-104bti. it has blue tooth built in, i pod cable with it, and looks much better than the ida-x305 in my eyes, much cheaper and worth the money.
and im seeling one ;-)))

i agree i work in halfords canterbury and we have had 2people crash there i-phones while trying to fit i-pod headunits & 1 actually start to smoke there i-phone so be careful

Just fitted one of these into my Ibiza mk4, works perfect with my iPhone 3G. Brings all teh contact names up and everything. Total integration.

Love it.
