ive only skimmed over the thread, but cant see a price for this kit or how much the eo5 is/was?

i had a few things off AM in their early days and found them very good for things such as the ko3s and downpipe ect, but these things were bought, looked over and resold by them.in my case i thought If any of these went wrong it was "only" a few hundred quid to put right.

if im paying a £1000 odd for a kit id like some kind of warranty especially if its based on a turbo that often failed.

If mikes been running stage 2 for nearly 2 years i'll assume hes had it mapped and so should be able to give his figures. If its not been mapped to stage 2 then how do you know its reliable?

im not having a go,im watching all the turbos being tried by people as i will be doing one at some point but have little to convince me on anything other than ihi.The gt28x gave good results(285?) but didn't seem much cheaper:shrug:

i see what your saying mate, but your on about the wrong turbo, e05 is a different turbo to this, k03s housing and bigger compressor wheel hence why they were unreliable (so iv read) this turbo has bigger housing/internals (k04 size) etc ....

like you say, mike has had this turbo for 2 years with no problems

when i get this turbo fitted/mapped i will publish figures no problem :D

GT2X the other is the GTRS which they say 310bhp+ but does not fit an ibiza due to clashes with the gear linkage etc. Otherwise that would be the one to go for most definately

From looking into it and speaking to others who have had GT28RS's in the past on other VW applications it seems that it'll only clash with the gear linkages if you have the 3" intake upgrade.

This is the reason David said I'm changing my mind daily lol, I was just going to go for the GT2X, however if I can get it to fit I will go for the GT28RS and 310~330bhp mapping. No point me going for the GT2871R as I'll never get the internals done and re-mapped to 400bhp unless I do it straight away when fitting the kit.

As for cost, this is what I paid from A&M;

- Stage 2 Turbo: £800.00
- High-Flow Manifold: £285.00
- Fitting Kit: £45.00
- 440cc Injectors: £195.00
- 3" MAF Tube: £75.00
- Forge S3/LCR TIP: £90.00
- P&P: £40.00

As well as the above you will need a 3" filter to match the MAF & TIP, which will set you back around £230.00 then you'll also need mappping at £500.00.

might have sorted fitting out , only a might though

just been to urban racing near mine (where mr nos gets refilled), they said they would do it but couldnt give me a price, they told me to come back tomorrow and they will have nosey around my engine and see how long/hard it would take/be before giving me a price

what rough price should i be looking at to get this kit fitted?? (except injectors as these only get fitted before mapping)
