:( just looking on their website, their based in portsmouth, thats about 3.5/5hours away from me, if the price is right and they can do it in a decent timescale then i think it would be worth the travel, will see what they say tomorrow when i ring

David, not sure whether you've already tried, but why not give Dubsport a ring in Wigan. They know the 1.8t engine as its often transplanted in to Mk2 Golfs & Mk4 Polo's by them & they carry out mapping on the rolling road.

Pete

ooooooh looks promising, will do pete, cheers mate

just been looking at matt's gt2x thread, he had to relocate his header tank, iv seen where he has located it too but their doesnt seem to be anything to mount it on  wonder if he made his own bracket for it

cheers mate, gonna give them a call now, just been to urban racing this morning, had some very promising stuff to say, they can relocate my headertank/TIP/filter no problem with custom brackets, they are also going to fit a oil catch tank/swirl pot also, they had a good nosey around, had my car on the ramps and said they would do the job and he seem'd quiet excited about it, he said he will go away and do some rough guestimates on price of fitting and give me a ring back

going to ring dubsport and jkm now see what they say :)

pretty much yeah, just a few more parts to fit like tip, swirl pot etc ..
also a bit of jiggery pokery needed by moving n75 to other side (outlet on tip different side) relocatin of header tank etc ...

getting really excited about this now, cant wait until its mapped and run in

RE figures, my dyno is below, but this didnt include the flown/ported housing and the large bore mannifold, plus ive also added an oil cooler and custom intake manni on route. hopefully these will free up some geegee's hence why its not mapped yet cause i keep adding more :p

I did tell mike to run the turbo hard mind, 25psi spike and 22-23psi hold, but its been reliable for 2 years and 20k+ miles at these performance levels... depends how aggressive he maps yours and how your other mods fit into package

only put the single cooler in, in the end
plus flown/ported turbine housing

just back from urban racing again with a price, he quoted me a MAX of £500 weather he has my car 3 days or 3 weeks if things go pear shaped, he said it will more likely be £400/450 @ 2 days work. At first i thought "f@ckin hell, thats dear" but then he explained he will be fabricating mig welded polished custom brackets etc.. and also buying and fitting of a polished swirl pot (he did say the brand but i forgot) a bit of jiggery pokery also required - all in the price

personally i think the price is alright considered the work involved, does this sound alright to you guys?

need to go on the hunt for a sh!tbox car now to get me to work and back while/if they have my car

good good, think i will go with them then
yeah i got the quote in writing, made that mistake with my last car

Cheers martyn

Sounds fair since oil catch tanks can cost up to £100.00

yeah thats what i was thinking, looks really nice as well, had a good look at it while i was their
also looking at the apexi boost controller, but il look at that in more detail once this kit is fitted, get this out the way first ;)

I presume he does mean oil catch tank to catch the oil from the breather? And not a swirl pot? Swirl pots go between coolant lines to trap air.

oil catch tank yes  , sorry, his mate kept calling it a swirl pot so thats stuck in my head at the minute
