Another broken fog light

When I had to replace my O/S fog light (here) it was clearly damaged by a stone hitting it. But this weekend I noticed that the N/S lens is cracked. This time though it has had nothing hit it, it's just cracked on it's own.

Has this happened to anyone else? any possible known reasons for it happening?

It seem quite vunerable mines gone too. The part seems common to VW and Audi but I have'nt noticed theirs broken believe the part is around £70.00 - unless you know where to get them cheaper??!!

Has the glass fully broken? If not i'd just leave it for the time being!

^^ Yeah just one crack straight across the middle ^^

I probably will just leave it, unless it lets water in and blackens the insides.
