Right, ordered 4 new coilpacks from ECP yesterday (Beru ones).
Come home and they've been delivered.

My coilpacks are push-in ones and the ones delivered are bolt-down ones.

Can I use them or do I send them back?
Also, I obviously don't have the bolts to lock them in so what size bolts would I need?

I know, I know, use the search but I'm on 56K at home and I could be sitting here all night :(

Ta.

thats because the part number on the ECP website is wrong

the correct ECP part number is 413 44 0480

send them back and get the proper ones with the above part number

Oh right. This wasn't off there website, though, I phoned them giving them my registration and engine code.

Umm, i ordered the bolts and the rubber seals (which isnt needed really) from VW. But theyre easy to buy, have a look at the other bolts holding other stuff on the rocker cover, they tend to be the same thread.

Btw, i havent seen any CF's when logging timing with these along with IK22 sparks.

Top man, that's great.

Yeah, I'm replacing the plugs at the same time (IK22's). Still trying to get to the bottom of this spluttering issue I've had for about the last year or so. Hopefully this will sort it.

Cheers for the info, much appreciated.

How do i find these on the ECP site ??

Searching for it (even without the spaces) brings up a completely different part number everytime :wtf:

There the ones that I've just bought.

I'm going to use them. I like the idea of them bolting down.
If you relly want the push-in ones, give them a call (020 8956 5050) and tell them exactly what you're after (mention the push in ones and get him to check them before sending).
