any one fitted forge fmic to fr 20vt

just wanting to know if anyone has fitted the new fmic to the fr 20vt apart from evo who was the development car for forge. as i think im going to be the first one too buy it from them, also is it basically the same as the pd 130 intercooler or are the internals different on it? cheers gaz!

just looked at the fitting instructions on forges site , looks pretty much identical to the PD version, will be a doodle to fit ,

i dont know ive not really looked into the seat one as its a bit tight behind standard bumpers tbh im just going with the forge one as ive heard good things about them!

on the forge site they mention a different core on the 20vt so might be different i am thinking its also a lot easier to fit and the pipe work seems better than the seat stuf as i see you had allards change the pipe work to your intercooler on the ibiza cupra! it seems like on of them topics like tdi v petrol! both have to be better than standard smic!!!

i doubt its a different core,

1.8T seat sport one comes in at £480 ish though, worth thinking about

on the forge site they mention the core on the fr 20vt one but not on any of the others! will try forge i think as i can see that the new parts guy at my dealer will get all confused when i go see im about a fmic lol!

Allards changed the rubber pipework for up rated samco stuff and polished the alloy pipework for me on the Cupra same as they are doing on my Audi. OEM rubber pipework tends not to like the high boost i run, 2.2 bar on the Cupra. If anyone fits a Seat FMIC to a PD130 etc they should change the rubber pipework.
I dont know the size of forges FMIC but Allards is ;
Core size 500x320x60
Overall size 610x340x60
Pipework size @ 57mm

ah right well i am runnnig more boost than the cupra is runnning so thats also why im going down the forge route!

i just know also its gonna take ages for seat intercooler to arrive with everything im gonna need!

what is the seat core do you know is this the core of the hoses i take it it is!
