Any perfect Formentors out there?

As per the title, how many Formentor owners out there are completely happy with a fault free car?
I do realise that the majority of people only seek out a forum when they have an issue so the ratio of bad cars may well be disproportionate on this forum, but there do seem to be a fair few issues.
I’m starting to wonder if I should reconsider purchasing a new Formentor.

Me Andy! Ordered my VZ2 in June last year, took delivery mid March. I have absolutely nothing to grumble about. The car looks fab (graphene grey), everything works as it should including the infotainment, and it and goes like stink. The wife adores it too.

Mine has been far from perfect, with a stay at the dealers for over three weeks being repaired, and a rattle that has still to be rectified for the third time. Technical gremlins seem to have been sorted mind you with the 1896 update.

Cupra themselves (not the dealer) have to be one of the worst companies to deal with even after lodging an official complaint and having a case manager. Only with threats of going to the press and VWFS to reject the car, did they do anything.

We’ll……picked up an ex demonstrator hybrid a month ago…..took it back for a quick software update to fix the sos thing…..and , well, perfect!!!
some of the tech is a bit annoying, but getting used to it…..economical, smug on electric 😀, goes like stink when required, constantly being asked: what is it?
just had the 2 software updates for the infotainment so even better than when got it…..

fingers crossed eh!

I've had my VZ1 245 TSI for 2 months now, still love it!

Currently running software version 1890 I have one small niggle with the ACC at two certain junctions on the M66. I previously altered the settings so the car responds to speed signs and road changes. When I went past the slip roads it thought I was I'm coming off, even though I'm on the motorway still and starts to slow down.

Speaking to a neighbour who is a manager at a local VW dealer and brings home new VWs all the time (current is a 22 plate VW ID4) his does the same thing at the same junctions so it seems to be geographic. Not done it anywhere else which is strange. But it's easily bypassed so not too fussed and just changed the settings back so I change the speed manually therefore no issues and I didn't like how abrupt it is slowing down the car into slower speed limit zones.

Apart from that the car is comfortable, quick and economical when driving sensibly. Can't recommend the car enough :)

Why do you people turn up in every potentially positive thread? Get a different car and

Meanwhile, I love mine. Every single brand on the market has niggles, and some people are going to be unlucky and receive a lemon. Sort it out with the dealership or return the car. People make it more complicated than it needs to be, and they’re often the common denominator.

I’d throughly recommend the Hybrid VZ2

I can advise all that I'm more than very happy with mine. It has been with me for 11 months with 16,000 km now on the clock and trouble free; VZ3, 310.

Mine has been spot on. It's had a few issues which have been sorted with updates which is typical of any new models with lots of tech. The dealer has been really good and attentive.

I am using Android Auto which interfaces brilliantly with the car and once you have everything set up properly I can't really fault it.

My wife is hard to please with cars and even she loves it.

I've had my V2 PHEV for 7 weeks now, an ex-demonstrator and absolutely love it. I had a few software issues but the dealer updated it to the latest and, touch wood it's been spot on ever since. It gets lots of positive comments too ☺️.

The only issue I have is that my wife is complaining whenever it's not in Cupra mode..... go figure.

Nothing mechanically wrong with the car, but the software side of it is absolutely atrocious. It often losses communication with some of the car modules, yesterday I had no climate control for example. A restart usually fixes it, but it shouldn't happen.

After 5 weeks of ownership I nearly sold it to we buy any car this weekend and was happily prepared to take the hit on money loss. If I could've thought of anything I could buy that almost met my needs it would've gone. Instead I spent 3 hours sound deadening the doors to try and get rid of the rattles in the drivers door.

I originally came here looking for opinions before I bought the car and thought it can't be as bad as some are making out and should be very similar to my previous S3. Well unfortunately I'm now siding more with those people and the car is earning its nickname of 'A complete sack of ****'.

I would give up on this thread as it seems the same people are trying to be negative about everything to do with this car .

Had my VZ3 5 weeks running 1890 and done just over 2200 miles fault free driving. Was a bit concerned reading some of the horror stories on here and wondered why I was ditching my 335 x-drive BMW but so far it has proved to be a better car. Hope those that do have issues get it sorted soon

Plenty of threads where you can moan about the negatives, this ain't one of them.
