As above really, with previous new cars i have taken delivery of, i have always had a litre of oil given with the car, usually in the boot, ready for top-ups.

When I took delivery of the FR nothing!

Anyone else get anything?

Had a bottle of oil when i bought a new beetle but nothing with the FR (petrol) I have to say that even after reading several posts on here iam confused at what oil the TFSI uses anyway, the sticker under the bonnnet says valvolene oil is recomended but doesnt say which one to use, Surely the engines are made in one place and despite the fact we are time/distance service as opposed to variable (VW) servicing it must have long life oil in yes???

I got a 1 litre of oil with my Ibiza in a boot bag with a folding funnel and disposable gloves etc when I bought it but the dealer also ran the Shell garage next door so I thought it was something related to that.

Got no oil with my Altea but that was a different dealer. I think it's something that some dealers do to give a good impression. Like first dealer had leather key-fobs on both keys second dealer had crap clear plastic ones.

None. Did ask but none given. Was told had to use a specific oil with the Tdi FR.
Havent looked at the handbook to what so special with the 170bhp unit.
