anyone had problems jump starting?

gave someone a hand last night to jump start their car (her fella had turned up in his SL AMG and couldn't find the battery! merc told him it was in the boot but he still couldn't find it)....... anyway we tried to connect their jump leads up to my car but the bracket holding the fuse board that spans the battery prevented us getting the clamp onto the positive terminal.
it just wouldn't work. so i had to leave them to phone the AA.

quite worrying, or am i just being daft?

i think just being daft as i have never had any problems.

I've had abit of trouble getting a good connection, i know what u mean but once a good connection is made it works.

Last time i help jump start someone's car, my battery gave up the ghost a couple of days later!

Not doing that again in a hurry.
