• Hey Guest👍👎 We're looking for reviews of your local CUPRA or SEAT Dealership - it's quick and easy to do: Leave a review now
Ordered my FR 140 on feb 10th but then updated my order 1½ week later and added the full LED headlights (really glad I did :) ) I got a word from my dealer that I should be able to pick it up in 3-4 weeks, really wishing on three weeks :) So end of april I should be riding in style!

Have you seen any real world mpg figures on the 1.8 tsi?

No only seen the official SEAT figures. They seem quite good for a fairly high performance 1.8 engine. I do lots of short journeys during the week and my annual mileage is not huge so with lower petrol prices compared to diesel I shouldn't be too out of pocket compared to my current 170 CR tdi.

I've still not seen any detailed review of the 1.8 tsi but with good review of the 1.4 I'm hoping it will be good.

Ordered a FR150 on 28th March to ensure getting the tech pack whilst it was still on offer (it seems I needn't have rushed now). I have been given 22nd April as a built date and delivery estimate for end of May.

I went for Monsoon Grey although I would have much preferred white, but with the miles I will be covering I wouldn't have been able to keep on top of the cleaning aspect.

Currently driving a 123d so I'm moving over from the dark side!! ;-)

Sent from my piece of shite iPhone - according to Muz.

I just got off the phone with Seat Finance and it was quite interesting. I wanted some clarification on a few points so here they are:

1. Seat will donate £1000 if I signed up to their Finance package.

2. I can cancel the finance agreement within 14 days without any settlement fee.

3. If I cancel within 14 days I would have to pay interest only on the days between taking out the agreement and cancelling it, so only a few pounds.

4. If I cancel after 14 days, I would have to pay 1 month and 28 days interest.

5. If I cancel, I can keep the £1000 donation.

6. If I cancel, I can still get free servicing. The finance guy actually told me that some dealers will tell you that you will lose the free servicing and that this is incorrect.

7. After cancelling the agreement within 14 days, you get 30 days to pay for the car. During this 30 days you can still keep it.

Hope this helps some of you. I'm going to take out the finance and then cancel and pay off with a lower interest bank loan.

Sorry to dig this back out, just a couple of questions. If cancelled in the 14 days, who's nameis on the logbook? and what's the minimum that you can put on the finance to minimise the risk of being stuck on it?

The maximum deposit is 30% so the minimum finance is 70%

ah, that might count me out then. the part ex value it's about 40% of the new one :-(

What happens then is you get a cash refund on the difference between your trade in and 30%. I think the offer has finished now though?

Your name is on the log book from day 1. The V5C document shows the registered keeper and not the owner.

When you ring to pay within 14 days, you need a withdrawal figure. The early repayment figure you can get via the automated system is not the correct value and includes other charges that you don't need to pay. You can settle there and then with a debit card and you will immediately own the vehicle.

Get a photo if you can, would be interested to see the difference between the two whites.

I have a white A6 avant and a white Leon...you'd think it'd be the same paint seeing as they're the same group. Unfortunately, the Leon looks a little yellow next to the audi.

Hmm,

The finance woman at my dealers told me that if I cancel/settle my finance before making at least 1 monthly payment, i will lose the £1000 deposit and 3 years servicing?
I cant see how they can get the deposit back off me, I have already got the car?
Im going to ring them tomorrow to confirm what welshy67 says is correct. i just want to pay this off straight away!
I will let you know whos right, my dealer or welshy! Im hoping its welshy!

The dealer just wants their commission. Having spoken to SEAT Finance myself, I was told that you can keep the free servicing. I asked about the £1000 but she didn't say it had to be repaid.

Good luck ringing them! The line was mostly engaged or it told me to ring back later. When I did get through, I was on hold for about 10 minutes.

Ok mate, what number did you call?
I cant see any numbers on my paperwork

It's on there somewhere. It's 0870 333 4446. Choose the general enquiries option when prompted.

Wow, what sh*te service!
I called them this afternoon, took 4 calls just to get past the sorry everyone's busy hang up stage...
Then got through and into the queue....sat on hold for 45 minutes, costing me 8p per minute!
I then got hacked off and hung up. [:@]
Ive emailed them, see if they will answer my questions.
What a pathetic support service. If no joy by Saturday will try the phoneline again then.

Ok,
Just an update on the finance issue...

Got a call on my voiemail from VW finance with a message to call them back following the email i sent them about the deposit/servicing issue.

Amazingly they gave me the Audi number and I got through in about 30 seconds!

Anyway, bottom line is as posted here earlier:

I can cancel the finance agreement as Im within the 14 day cooling off period.
I had £15995 worth of finance. The settlement figure they have given me is £16001.30, so Im basically paying £6 of interest!
This will not have any affect on the £1000 deposit that was paid by them and I still get the 3 years free servicing!
My Dealer told me if I didnt make at least 1 monthly payment I would lose the £1000 deposit and the free servicing. Turns out they were speaking rubbish - if I cancel my finance before the first payment, the dealer gets no commission- thats why they tell you that you need to make a payment.:laser:

Woman from VW finance couldnt have been nicer. Im paying the balance by bank transfer tonight and thats it done, the cars all mine with a free £1000 off and free servicing all for the sake of a bit of paperwork and £6 in interest!

Cherrching!:funk:
