Anyone running a forge short shifter. Feedback please

Got a few spare pennies and i can either buy my LCR splitter and fabia wiper conversion or the forge short shifter iv been thinking on. Anyone got one of these and do the results warrant the cost? iv always thought the throw on my leon was a bit too much, but how much of a difference to the forge jobbie actually make

do they make alot of difference wayne? awesome gti have got em in for £63 which is about £25 cheaper than forge themselves, strange as they did me the 007p for around £25 cheaper aswell

Also what they like to fit, just remove linkage, swap and connect back up?

shorten the throw by about 50% and eash about 5 mins it took me just lock it up then fit it theres a guide on here somewhere.

hmmmm sounds good to me, what you reckon the forge or the wiper/splitter combo? looks or drive, what we doin lol?

up to you mate what ever you want the splitter you will bash it to death iam on me 3rd this year and damaged it again the other day in the petrol station

Ive got 1 too was thinking of gettin the side 1 too but havent heard much about it can anyone give pro and con lol if there is any cons

It's hard to tell I fitted so much at the same I forgot what it was like lol , it does make a difference but how much I'm not sure would have to drive my car then swap in a car that doesn't have them

Ha, try mine wayne it's completely standard throw and loooong I think! Still waiting to get both short shifters, they're defo on the list! Keeping standard gear knob though to keep it oem looking.

yea you dont need to change the gear nob tom it goes on top of the gearbox.

thats all you do, drill an 8mm hole and move the linkage to that hole? im liking that mate
