Anyone with experience with exhaust work combined with remap on Cupra TDI's??

What results in power increase??? Sound??

Think about putting a 2,5Inch pipe on my Ibiza Cupra TDI before remap!!!

Unless you have a mapper who can account for the exhaust in the map, it will make little difference to the power output. Delivery may be smoother, but the sound is what it's all about!

I've got a cat by-pass pipe, and a 3" system - combined with the BMA CDA induction kit, the noise is lurrrvely! ;o)

How about a straight stainless pipe right off the turbo? It's what I did. :) Only 2.25", which is adequate given the lack of anything else to get in the way - no cat, no silencers, no backbox - just an oval tail on the end.

i have 2.5inch from cat back and v.small back box. Not to noisy but just purrs like a kitten, with good lot of turbo whistle when revved.

Think the general consensus from my reading scn and my experience is that removing the restrictions of the exhaust sytem (eg mufflerectomy/decat or whatever) reduces back pressure and helps the turbo spool up quicker. Now, while this may not effect power figures much, the increase in pick up and driveability should make these mods worthwhile
