i tried quinn. fine if you have a provisional, it was dead cheap, but once it goes to having a full licence it shoots up about £2000 straight away, its absolutely appauling ! ive given up on the idea now, theres no point in even looking anymore ill just get my hopes up for nothing !
Me thinks your going to the wrong places. As mentioned above Quinns and Tesco shuold be quoting about £850 for a Group 2 car. My 17yr. old daughter was was quoted £800 as a provisional licence holder, And she has just failed her 4th. test. What are we going to do with her, friends?
Thats a dam shame you cant get one now That insurance quote is colossal there must be a reason for it being so high? I pay about 200 quid a year for my TDI 1year no claims and 6 points on license now (bloody met police!) The TDI will return you the same mpg as the SDI but with a much better pull on it, I was surprised how spritly it was when I first got mine and I've surprised a few people on the motorway that turbo just pulls and pulls when ya cruising in gear acceleration is nuts for what it is and it actually has more torque standard than a Honda civic type R! If you manage to go ahead and get one, go for the TDi if you can, you wont regret it! I've got 135k on mine now, I have ran it on 100 biodiesel for 15k miles till my supply dried up and have had no probs with it since and she still runs like a dream
