This article gives more information on what the technical issue is;

http://www.contracthireacar.com/blo...f-certain-models-with-wireless-phone-chargers

To save everyone reading the full article, this is the key info.

It has come to light that the signal-boosting technology has been found to be capable of receiving signals from restricted sources and organisations that are ordinarily illegal to intercept.

In the interests of public security and regulatory constraints, SEAT has taken the decision to immediately stop deliveries of all new and used vehicles containing these wireless charging phone boxes.

The issue does not affect customers’ safety and from the limited details we have been given it certainly sounds fixable, the actual technology working effectively – perhaps overly so – and the aim being to ensure that customers will no longer be able to receive data that they shouldn’t have access to.

I normally lurk on these forums however I feel that I must correct you and your 'personal' and not scientifically proven view.
We've been using mobile phones for around 3 decades give or take and the evidence is pretty conclusive that there are no effects.
I put it to you that most of us have mobile phones, have done for many years have never had any issues as a prime example but also I'll link to an aged article that will explain better than I could: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7229003.stm
Also if you know a lot about radiation you would know that mobile phones emit non-ionising radiation and therefore cannot mutate DNA
In short your 'opinion is unfounded and scaremongering for effect
It is also worth pointing out that if this issue hadn't arisen in the UK then our Finnish friend would be still be driving round in complete ignorance...

Like I said normally I wouldn't say anything but it's a bit sad when people make stuff up. Especially when as it turns out they have no idea what they are talking about.
