Audi A3 Wheels on mk1 leon ?

Just had standard alloys on my leon tdi 130 at the moment, i can get hold of 4 good condition 17" genuine a3 alloys with tyres for £150...will they fit my mk1 leon ? Any1 fitted any before ?

If theyre the new shape a3 then no, if its the old shape then yes as they are both 5x100 stud pattern

Older shape, 02 plate...reckon they would look ok ? Its either that or the 17" starfish LC ones,

i just fitted early audi tt wheels on mine fit no problems, not quite a3 i know but same size stud pattern.

Tried them...A3 wheels off a V reg ? Didnt fit...the hub lined up but the holes were well off.

Wheels off a V-Reg A3 should be a direct fit, the 02-Reg one will be too. These are the 8L chassis vehicles with the same fitments as the MK1 Leon. (They ran from 1996 - 2003 IIRC)

It's the ones from 2003+ that won't fit (8P chassis) ... very strange that they don't fit - maybe the previous owner used adapters, wobbly bolts or something. Not many 8L A3's came with 17" wheels, only the S3 I think.

That'll be the ones ! Some meat left on tyres...enough to last me til next payday atleast. Very good condition, minor kerbing, great buy i think .

Bumpers, Exhaust and if you could colour code the side strips - will make the car look completely different and so much smoother.

I think for the bumpers he probably meant replacing them with face-lift ones then removing and spraying side strips

Thats my plan...not sure if i want the cupra bumper, or the cupra R bumper..both look better than whats on there at the moment, the side trims need taking off and repainting silver, LC or LCR rear bumper with exhaust. LCR alloys in black too eventually w00p.
