Hello,

Just swapped the radio cassette for a standard cd unit that I had in my previous leon. Problem is that the dash display has stopped working. Does anyone know how to sort this out. Is there a particular wire that links it to the dash display?

Thanks,

David

hi and thanks for the replies, the cd player was in my older leon and worked perfectly on the dash display, just took it out this evening to replace the tape in the car i bought, i'm guessing I jerked a wire out when changing and thought maybe one of you would know which one?

Well when I had the standard HU it never showed up on the two bars on the dash.

And I'm sure I read then that for some reason it wasn't enabled in alot of cars, I'm guessing this was a lack of dash wiring not a lack of the HU being able to give out the info.

thanks olaf, i'll have a mess about tomorrow to see if i can get to the bottom of it

Forgotten about the dash display! Had a V reg Toledo TDI new in 2000 with a radio/cassette/multichanger & the dash display worked, wifeys FR+ didn't with the standard radio/cd. Got a Parrot Rhythm N Blue mp3/blutooth stereo in it now, absolutely brill bit of kit for £120!

again, thanks for the info, just bugging me what I did to it, too much time on my hands at the weekend )
