auto window close unit

just been having a look on Damoegon's stig and he has auto window units.. What are these??
Are they when you lock the car they go up??
Sorry if this is a stupid question but i dont know..

The unit costs about £30 and is plug n play if you have a pre facelift Ibiza, if you have a facelift it won't work. It's called a KVW100.

This function can be activated also by reprogramming the CCM (Comfort Control Module) with a software called vds-pro - which is the better approach.
If you use KVW100 the CCM will get locked - it would be impossible to read/write the ccm memory. Or at least this is what I've read on different forums.

sweet thanks where would i get this unit from?? so this vds-pro you say is better where would i get that from as well...
from that vid i take it you hold the lock button and the windows go up and the same for unlocking??
Wouldnt want it to go down when i unlock i the rain..lol

Regarding this, is it something you put in the car once and take out then it goes into a cupboard? I was thinking something along the lines of getting a SCN one where say, 15 members chip in for it and it gets posted around, seems a good idea to me?

I think you can only use it once. And after that is useless, and more than that, the CCM will get locked for reading or writing...

That is for the mk1 leon, not mk4 ibiza.

I'm pretty sure it cant be done that way on the ibiza.

I think the only factor is the CCM version... wich influences the memory addresses that need to be modified .
Here in Romania, are a lot of people that are doing this mod on most of the vag cars.
