I hope you get sorted I feel ur pain.
This happened to me as well in my last car. I only had the honda 3 weeks and parked in tesco and when I came back it had a nice bumper crease mark all along the passengers door I was not a happy bunny.

Same thing happened to me too, on another occasion someone had run a trolley along my rear bumper, both times in Tesco's. I try to park as far away from supermarket entrances as possible.

I've had this happen to me in my TT, a few years ago. It was incredibly windy and gust just snatched the door from the girls grip and struck my passengers door.

Yours looks to be the worst possible place on the door to happen.

Feel for you :(

When some selfish **** slams their Audi TT door into your Leon this is the result .... but the door brace bonded to the inside of the door skin runs just above the crease so no access from inside to sort the dent ... its a body shop job.

Oh and no note, no CCTV and no reg just a £300 bill :censored:

I guess the external door design makes them vulnerable to this type of thing but the way the door is reinforced inside doesn't help when you want it put right :(

that looks like a 4x4 or van has done that to catch it so high up the door , and done with force too it would be pretty damm hard to push the crease line in ,it would be the toughest point on the door

that is a fill and paint job sadly

I may get a few grunts/groans for this but I always take up 2 x parking places now, get a few "look at that cheeky git" stares but fook em, or I park in mother and child when I have the 10 year old in.

Wow, not just me then! I park in a smallish car park in manchester where I see a few cars with scrapes and door bashes. Try to park next to newish motors that are clean and look well looked after.
Only a matter of time before it gets a knock I guess . Arghhhhh

I park as far away as possible from all the cars, even so, you can guarantee someone will park slap bang next to you with all those spaces to choose from, it's like you have a sign on the roof of the car saying 'hey park next to me' (headbang)

I'll grunt at this! Sometimes I have seen cars parked only just over the line (like a foot or so). If I still had by old car I would park in that space and pee them off haha. Mind you I saw someone do this once and they returned to the car and it was a mother with kids. Sensible I guess but the car park was empty.

My rules for parking:

1) Park as far away as possible
2) Park in an end space (where it is next to grass or something)
3) Park in wider than normal spaces
4) If you have to park next to someone, park on their passenger side as it's not guaranteed they will open the passenger doors
5) Park next to expensive cars

And if all that fails then go 'ome.

I saw some woman putting her kid in the car once and she parked next to a lamp post. As she was putting the kid in the car I'm surprised she didn't knock the lamppost down with the door. I couldn't help but think... if that was a car... would she be doing the same?

The worst thing for scrapes on my car are the bl**dy kids in our street that ride their bikes up my driveway and catch the car with the end of the handlebars!

Perhaps ironically, each time my car has gotten a knock it has been while at the dealership! I dread every visit.

And to the OP, sorry to see that pal. Unfortunately there are a lot of dishonest people about who simply don't have any respect for others. I hope it gets sorted quickly for you.

I've never had this happen. It was close to happening in my last car but I put the window down and said I knife the guy if his door touched my car. He quickly closed the door and drove to a different bay.

Since then I always take up 2 bays on a slight angle. I don't care what anyone says, usually if you ask them to repeat what they say the pipe down and walk away.

I work on the basis that about 90% of drivers don't give a **** about anything but them selves (not even there car) and are total idiots. X factor and I'm a celebrity viewing figures seem to back this up.

Can't believe you think this is a sensible way to act and to come on here and be proud of it.

Can't believe you think this is a sensible way to act and to come on here and be proud of it.

Firstly, it was an empty threat (as I thought would have been obvious, clearly not!)

Secondly, never had a panel dented.

Thirdly, sensible (the ability to make sense of something) parking across 2 bays and thus leaving at least half a bay either side so doors physically can't reach. This does not make sense to you?

And finally, you make out that the way some one parks is something to be proud of? This would leave people to believe you haven't achieved much in life #JustSaying...
