u bolt a little motor thing onto the inside of your door, behind the trim panel, then you get a 12v supply and earth, fuse it ect. then you get the rod supplied/braket thing with the motor and attach it to the rod that does your door pin. one button pushes the pin down(lock) one pushes the pin upwards(unlock)

btw ive never fitted one, maybe its a lil different to the kit ive seen someone use.
