have just got a Leon Cupra 1.8 20vT 180bhp and was wondering the best mods and also where to find these mods.

fabia rear wiper, reliable recirc valve, colourcoding and a remap. after that, follow your heart. When I bought mine I told the missus, "no Modding!" pah that lasted 2 mins.

you smooth the airbox yourself mate, diy it.

What does smooth it exactly mean? u just sandpaper the inside?? seems a tiny bit strange, maybe it will all make sense when i open mine?

yes it will make sense when you open it.

Personally I would go for a cold air intake. If you smooth your airbox you should also enlarge the inlet, and get some cold air there - the only way to do that would be to get a duct and stick it on somehow - a bit of a botched job IMO.

But if you fit a CAI you'll still have to run a cold air duct to it, so it's no different.

What sort of budget do you have.... Strut brace help's .... remaps are good but expensive, (worth it... though)

A simple air filter change may be a small start..... K&N or Green ... - But then you may go for a full induction ...... or air box smoothing as the guys above have mentioned....

budget budget budget... its taken me nearly 7 yrs to get mine to its current level... but then I have also seen to the Bammer as well

I'd certainly add a lower strut brace to the first mods list. Cheap, easy and effective.
