Best MPG?

Yesterday I did just over 70 miles and got an average of 40.1mpg that was about 60 miles of motorway and 10 of stopping and starting.....before I did the last 10 miles it was on 40.8!!

I was driving at 70/80 all the way back so I'm quite surprised at the MPG I got!!

Whats the best you've got?

ummm if your looking at your current MPG (the one that changes constantly) then go left one and its got like a o with a line through it!

The M4 from Reading to Bristol isnt what I'd call down hills....

I have not reset my average MPG since i have had the car its always at about 35mpg

not trying to turn it into a competition, but i once got 43.1mpg over a 140mile journey from reading to nottingham... that was doing 60-70mph on the m1 the whole way, so not that exciting a drive as u can imagine!!

43-45 on a 350 odd mile journey according to the trip computer. But i'm convinced that thing lies.

I get 33-35 all day long.

thats pretty dam good!! I was starting to think mine lies to me because the fuel gauge seems to bouce around all over the place....its moves up and down a quarter quite suddenly :s

i was actually sad enough to fill my car up, reset the computer before my journey... i then filled up again when i got to nottingham and calculated the mpg from my miles covered and amount of fuel... and it was less than 1mpg out to the computer

oh, thats pretty dam good then!!! I just wanted to see what other people got because I dont normally do motorway driving but i've done a lot recently

the best im getting in mine is 32.3 thats the most ive managed to get out of it but ive got a long trip soon so hope it goes up.

im getting about 28mpg, i have a problem with not putting my foot down, i only get 240 miles to afull tank. lol

got 43.5 on the computer on a full tank on the trip computer, but once worked out it was 41.4, i work my average out every time i fill up, and it seems to be about 2 mpg out every time.
my average over the last 4 months is in my sig it includes trip to nurburgring and 2 other trackdays, and everyday driving
so all in all its not too bad an average

I got 31 when I had my induction kit on my 1.4... Only checked once but I was so shocked I've taken it off, and now just checked without it...

35!! Not much better at all!! Change of car after I get my 1 year NCB I think so!
