Best source for parts

I need a new EGR valve for my 1.2 Ibiza mk4. Can anyone advise me where to get one at a reasonable price. The dealer wants £140 for the part only!

Try Dave at Sere Motors (they have a forum in the Seat dealers section). I've bought a few parts from there and they are massively cheaper than my local Seat dealer.

Hi, newbie here hoping to help.

GSF, who are normally very reasonable, want £141+VAT for the EGR, Euocarparts have a Pierburg EGR for £96.17 (again plus VAT).

Has the dealer told you you need a new one?

You can open it up and clean the gunk out with carb cleaner as a first pass (Free!) if that doesn't help then you can get a new one.

My problem is that the valve keeps blowing out the blanking plug at the bottom.
I've posted this previously but no replies. I'm on my third egr valve now and expect this one to blow in a couple of weeks time. My local dealer wanted to replace the valve the cat and the coil pack at £1000. Just can't afford that.
