Nice wheels, what is this set going to be used for? Will they clear the brakes ok?
Thanks buddy and yeah I've already tried them on. The standard Cupra Orions clear the brakes without spacers too!

These are going to become my everyday wheels as I'm fed up of how the 19" feel. Think I'll still keep them for shows and rolling about in the Summer etc (especially as they've just been refurbed and have 4 brand new Michelin Super Sports on) but these 18" will be perfect for daily use.:D

Still got my Orions with Winter tyres on and my TD's with 888's...........:lol:

do you really need a SMF for stage 1 or 2 ? I mean is it even worth it ? I really dont want the SMF because I hear there will be a lot of rattle. my DMF is now chattering like crazy, and i am about to go for a new flywheel but i havent decided yet if its the SMF or the DMF, I really like my comfort.
Thanks.

For comfort DMF for sure. My DMF and Sachs clutch have covered a fair few tuned up miles and are perfectly adequate.

SMF means one less thing to go wrong (Dual mass can obviously end up with too much play in them) Downside is the extra noise people say comes with the SMF

Thats for the input, i think im going to be going with a DMF, I like comfort and i hate noise all together, thinking on removing one of my BSH mounts back to the OEM torque mount, being that my dash vibrates too much at low revs.

^^^^^This!

I HATE the noise of my SMF, it really drives me crazy but as Mike said, one less thing to go wrong!:D

Matthew - you need help.

(And I need some light weight wheels myself :) )
Al, your correct! Which wheels you thinking of going for then?:D

Get in line, Al :p

By the sounds of things you'd definately be better off sticking with the DMF as a SMF can get really noisy sometimes.
Just noticed your from Curacao! The Leon must be fun on those roads, I always remember them being like driving on ice once it rains out there, VERY slippy?!

Willemstad is lovely down by the Fort etc, I was there for a few months so had a good chance to explore the island properly........Mambo's Beach Bar, Das Boot, Aye Carumba's etc were all good drinking holes!

Campo Allegro springs to mind too!!!!!!!!!!:rofl:

hahahhahhahhahah !! yea yea, its a fun island yes, too bad that theres soo many speed bumps but theres certain area's where you can realllly put the pedel to the floor. most people on here laugh at me when they see that i am from Curacao and say I will run out of road because Curacao is pretty small lol.
I dont go out much I do go to mambo to swim and stuf..... the roads arent really slippery, theres some streets that are yes.
and yes yess....hahhaha I have no doubt that you realllyy loved Campo Allegre :p.
im sure you lost 5 pounds after leaving that hotel of heaven hahaha(never been there, girls are pretty easy here)

I am going to stick to DMF indeed. I might buy a VW Golf Mk2 that i saw for sale for about $1000. in that car however I will put all kinds of crazy performance mods, my FR is just going to be my everyday to work car (stage 2 soon)

I remember that really high bridge near the oil refinery that the ships go under, all the women in the car were scared going over it!

We only went to Campo Allegre once, it was mental!

I stayed in the Holiday Beach Hotel so only a short walk from Willemstad....there was a petrol station opposite with a VERY surprising bar above it....!!!!!!:whistle::D

I'll hopefully be back there later in the year so you'll have to show me your FR if I do!
