So come on then how what's it like?
Sorry for the lack of update dude, been a busy day. Didn't get the car back till really late after being out playing in an amazing RS4! The weather is hideous today so really haven't had much chance to give it some stick. The new setup does feel really great so far but will give it some in the morning and let you know how it is!:D

Well, its been a while but I've been a busy boy.

Got my car back from LVSR after having these lovely bits of kit fitted...

Bilstein B16's.

Also had the whole car polybushed front to rear which has made a world of difference.:)

Drove the car around for a week whilst the car settled onto the new suspension setup then took it back to LVSR to (as requested) for another day of tweaking the ride, adjusting the damping, arb's and fast road geo setup until the car was totally planted.

Whilst the motor was in they also updated my REVO map to the newest release which is also feeling very positive.

The new map has less of a low down punch and the mid range pull and redline hunting power is great! All in all the new map seems to provide much more useable power and day to day I believe will be much faster.:D

Whilst the car was in I had a pretty awesome courtesy car for the day (free of charge!)

Only once my car had been setup correctly did I realise just how bad my tyres were! Finally my hideous Vredestein's Sessanta's had bitten the bullet and I got some nice new sticky Goodyear Eagle Assymetric 2's fitted.

These tyres are epic! Loved the Assy 1's and these definately feel like an improvement. Very progressive feeling tyre with brilliant grip, a nice stiff tyre wall and a really good rim protector! Looking forward to getting them on the rears now too!

The sun stayed out for once so I got to give the car another good clean. Was impressed with the reflections of the surrounding houses!:D

Popped out to the Lincoln meet earlier today for a brief while. Got to meet some nice local dudes and look around their motors. Also met up with Monte and perve over one of my favourite Edition 30's around!

Can't stress enough how much of a difference these B16's and Polybushing has made to the car, feels the way it should've from the factory!

Cheers dude! Was wandering the same thing as mate you but had the chance to drive a few mk5 chassis with full Polybushing and loved the way they felt. They are a lot stiffer but this thing isn't built for long range cruising anymore, I want it to be much more track/fast road focused and this has really helped!:D

BIG  to ya motor mate, as joey essex would say "well gel" haha
Hahaha! Good man! Thanks for the comments mate, was good to meet you earlier, your car looked gorgeous!

Haha, cheers mate. I just gave it a good clean, clay then polish and wax. All using Meguires products and some elbow grease!:)

As far as next plans, big brake setup is the next on the card for me!

Would be good to get a spin in this machine now :)
Cheers Al!:D I really need to have a spin in yours too as I'm busy hunting around for a brake upgrade like yours now!

Hey mate. Yeah the Polybushes can but fitted to standard suspension as they simply replace your OEM rubber ones. Prices will vary as there are lots of options, manufacturers, and labour charges from garages etc. The bushes aren't the expensive part tbh tho, its the labour as its quite labour intensive!

If i replaced the oem ones with poly's would handleing improve?
I'd say yes mate as it removes a lot of the compliance from the suspension.

What is the standard turbo used on these cars,as its very impressive your able to get over 370 bhp and 380 torque with some mods but not inc.larger turbo. I wonder what could be achieved if a garret gt28 or 30 fitted with other associated mods?

Standard turbo is the K04 mate. I always take RR figures with a pinch of salt but just like to run it on the same one to know its healthy. Most stage 2+ cars are running around 360 bhp so its not far off. GT3071 would make big power but tbh, not really that useable as even my current power output is maxing out the chassis!

Just back inside after replacing this....

2012-08-07_13-30-22_HDR.jpg

Not a shock to see this had come off, just annoying as ever! I'd even stuck them both on. Recently had my tyres changed at KwikFit so I'm guessing that I hadn't stuck them back in firmly enough after that!

Can't complain too much tho as I managed to get this one FOC and it even came painted!:D

Hide away a couple of the small sized zip / cable ties to secure it on the inside.

Would require a couple of hidden tiny holes making

Carry a couple of spare in the glove box incase you have to remove the jacking point away from home.
