LOL I have silver and black plates in the garage but they are too dodgy so I took them off, yes front plate only is 3/4 size

haha.. same here! i've got pressed Alu plate.. but too scared to put them on!!! There not even reflective!!!

Is the reduced size one still legal? Have you got the same size front and back?

Erm probably not :whistle: :rolleyes: (sourced at Fancyplates.com page 2 of the order process allows you to select size of front plate)

emm was thinkin...... would it look nice if the centre badge was kept chrome but the edge of the centre grille (chrome bit) was sprayed black?

I have always had a smaller front number plate, and as long as you use the original plate, and then cut it down, and leave 1cm from the edge of the letters to the edge of the number plate - then it is perfectly legal, as the law just states the height spacing etc of the letters, and the spacing between the edge of the plate and the letter - so job done.

And I have never had any problems with the plate whatsoever, and neither has my mrs with hers too.

So go on, get out that saw ;)

shoot me if this is a daft question, i'm being lazy and i've never checked..., but is it easy/possible to remove the centre grille section? has anyone considered putting in one of those grilles without an S on it, and only the vertical bars...?
