Loving all the blue interior bits-it looks great. I love that blue anyway....I was thinking if I lost out on my black one I'd search for a blue.

It was an official VW one. a guy had about 5 of em on ebay about 6 months or so ago. Theres similar ones knockin about there now, but minus the blue inlay.
I have some usefull info for mk1 owners doing a black interior swap - you can use the handbrake surround from a mk4 Polo, and the handbrake cover from a mk4 Polo, or mk4 Golf (possibly the mk3 too if it has the same interior). It's a slightly different design, in that it's in two pieces rather then one, but other than that they look almost identical and fit fine.
