Bluetooth

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this for me.

I bought a 2013 Altea1.6 TDI CR SE yesterday and I'm struggling with connecting the Bluetooth, I've read the handbook several times to no avail.

The manual says to press the phone on the multi function wheel and this should bring up a menu to allow access to Bluetooth connectivity etc and it's not.

There's nothing I can find on YouTube that's helpful.

Can anyone help?

I bought my girlfriend an ibiza a year ago and i'm so shocked at how bad the bluetooth connectivity actually is, works once or twice then just stops forever i gave up and haven't tried to fix it in over a year, i wouldn't waste your time trying to fix it.
