so it is like foil cut out to the shape of the templates then stuck into the sections - job done?
It's a foil backed foam sound deadening from www.noisekiller.co.uk yeah cut to fit, tbh the templates the hardest bit so your one would be easy like many things the fool does the hard work (me) lol

Not really maybe a tad compared to no lining but I did it as I thought it made the whole under bonner area look a bit more finished, the paint quality in the panels isn't great so I pulled some influence from a mates corrado and did it to mine, also protects the bonnet from a bit of heat it's a good looking compromise I think, protects also from the winter frost a bit too.

I took my soundproofing off a few months ago before winter: those 5.30 am starts were so much better sounding during the big freeze! A little tip too: I also removed the rubber strip on the scuttle tray area and I think this has allowed more sounds to enter the cabin. My dv and p flo sound like I've got darth vadar in the engine bay! I've often wondered how it sounds to pedestrians ? It whooshes and the like at parking speeds, I don't want people to think what an a hole but it doessound great ( not vr6 great) I wish I had taken the soundproofing off my vr now aswell. Got to love 'free mods'.

Yeah my advise would be don't remove the rubber strip it stops water coming in when driving in the rain and corroding the inlet manifold areas and slam panel.

Oh yeah by the way when removibg theblinnibg i drop one of the chips into the engine bay, back driversude corner of the bay so cant see down there well. Sounded like it fell quite far down. Should i be worried about it jamming in something or should it be ok and either wriggle free or just get crushed..

Hi, yes I mean it sounded tons better, the rubber strip hasn't let any water in to the vehicle so I've left it off. Read somewhere a while ago about this I think it just allows abit more noise in through the cabin. My mate bought a mk2 gti off volkswizard last yr it's a full on hill climb car prepared really well, I can't compete with that for sounds really as it's had all the carpets and soundproofing taken out, sounds awesome! I'm going to do my vr I think next, that should sound proper then. I like the motorsport the
