boot build and size of box

i have a kicker L7 12" sub does anyone know weather it needs to be in a certain size box or if there is a minimum size to get the best out of the sub. also i am about to build a boot build for my leon does anyone have any pics or any ideas of what to do.

General rule for 12" is around a cubic foot mate.

far too many variables to just state "1cuft"
what type of box are you after?
do you want to tune it to a certain frequency?
do you want sealed?ported?bandpass?isobaric?

heres your basic ranges though for that sub

sealed min and max 1.5-6cuft
vented min and max 3-6cuft

what sort of music do you want to listen to?

He listens to quite a bit of different music.
Pretty sure it wouldn't need to be tuned to a frequency as it is general listening, not competition use or specialist! Just bass in the car lol.
I think the last box was sealed, and the bass was preety deep so I'm sure a ported box with his set up wouldn't be necessary.
