I used to use autoglym but to be honest it doesn't do much on suds front!! If you like it that's cool but give a meguiars shampoo or some of the others mentioned and you won't go
Back to autoglym ..

Like shampoo then? :) They add sodium laureth sulfate to make it foam so that people think it cleans their hair better!

I use Muc-Off 308 1L Ubershine Car Shampoo

Seems to work a treat for me :)

I use Megs Gold Class wash in fairness at the moment cus I was feeling abit poor and went to halfrauds as I ran out and got that and their tyre gel which i rate on the good old 3 for 2. Other than that Ive only used Dodo Juice Born to be mild which is good and Ive used Turtle Wax Wash n Wax as it was cheap and I was a clueless 17 year old back in the day

Nothing wrong with megs and I used to use turtle wax and autoglym many years ago. Tempted to try a dodo juice product soon. Once my megs runs out I will get some and hopefully a snow lance for me birthday . Can you use any car wash in a snow lance? Just want 1 product that works for both hand wash and snow lance.

You can use normal car shampoo in a lance but it wont give you anything like the sort of foam you'll get from a dedicated product.

I use this - http://www.autobritedirect.co.uk/index.php/exterior-cleaning/snow-foam/magifoam.html - by far the best snow foam product i have used... most only remove dust and break down / soften the heavy soiling but this actually cleans without affecting the protection layer.

Tempted to try this next for a shampoo - http://www.autobritedirect.co.uk/in...luxury-suds-concentrated-car-shampoo-wax.html or this which i used a sample of recently and liked it a lot - http://www.chemicalguysuk.com/Chemical_Guys_Glossworkz_Shampoo_p/gloss.htm - not a new product but one i havent used previously.

top post mr fox !!!

i will be looking into the snow foam stuff as i hoping to get one for my birthday. so in a nutshell you just wet the car then cover everything in snow foam then leave for 10 mins or so and rinse off before washing car? do you cover the wheels aswell ? i have muc off for the wheels. guess i could use that after the foam.

Cover in foam first, don't rinse beforehand. It will stick longer :)

If your alloys are protected with a sealant or wax, and you wash regularly (every 1 or 2 weeks), then snow foam and then agitating with a wheel brush after foaming will be enough. Won't really need muc off tbh..

I just clean my wheels every 2 or 3 weeks. Just use muc off on the fronts as they get filthy !!! Don't really wax them or seal them tbh.

Ah alright that's cool :)

Foam the car, then spray on muc off and agitate with a brush, whilst the foam is soaking the car. About 10 mins or so is what's necessary. I'd also recommend Magifoam from Autobrite, however it's meant to be banana but smells crap. Try and hold off for a couple of weeks. Mark (the owner) is about to release coloured and lovely smelling new snow foam :)

Do you use a pressure washer or hose?

I have used so many that it sometimes sways my opinion on a monthly basis.

Most consistent performer: CarLack 68 Shampoo. Amazing at everything.
Most lubricating: AF Lather or BTBM.
Best cleaning: Megs Nxt but removes protection.
Best maintenance: Dodo Juice Sour Power.

I don't like supernatural, it is way too inconsistent even when following strict dilution ratios. 3M is a good performer and cleans really well but doesn't add anything but that's not bad thing really...maybe too watery. Ziano Z7 is quite good and so is glassworks. Agreed with Nige on magnifoam !

I have a hose and pressure washer. A draper one. Was hoping to get snow lance for birthday ;-) I was looking at megs hyper wash as people say you can use it for both wash and foam ? It is 30 quid but that's for 5 litres . Although if you think that autobrite stuff is best maybe get that to foam and another shampoo to wash with ?

Don't get too hooked up on snowfoams. They have their place and certainly do there jobs but I would get a dedicated snowfoam for the job especially if you don't have a heated pressured washer.

There are shampoos that represent better value and performance that Megs.
