Ah well these didn't last long, the odd smear line left by these wipers has now trebled and they smear like they have bits of tree under them, have wiped clean the blades and this makes no difference, like little notches of rubber along the edge of the blade, passenger one is twice as bad, so that is it for me and retrofit Aero blades, I have bought a set od Bosch Super Plus OEM blades for £11 of Ebay and they will do me from now on :)

Damn shame as they looked the dogs :(

Im confused, i went to VW dealer and bought the retro fit wipers for the golg/bora same size as the leon, are the vw wipers valero or bosch or something else altogether??
Thing is at any speed above 50mph drivers wiper lifts off only get about 1/2 > 1/3 area cleared... pretty useless. and i thought i was doing the right thing getting them from a dealer............ is there any fix ?????

Know it's a silly question, but have you got them round the right way...

The ones I have from Wiperblades are shaped to keep them on the screen.

I bought mine from a VW dealer following advice from other messages on here. Even had the part no. listed. £24 and a few pennies, although I had to wait two days.

Again, fitted them within 1 minute and worked great on a drive back from London on Sunday night!

I'd recommend them to anyone!

I checked no way to put them on backwards..

What i think is happening is the thick (lower end) of the wiper arm is actually creating negative pressure on the part of the wiper that is lifting .. not sure what i can do about it though... wipers work perfect at 60mph behind a truck. pull out from behind and the wiper is useless.. .

mine are still rubish, They lift at the bottom of each blade above 50mph. I think it is the thick part of the wiper arm preventing the air flow over the bottom of the blade. I noticed on some audi / vw with aero standard the wiper arm has little slots to allow air through to the blade.

Scrap all of the above,,, i found out whats wrong.. They are blades for a left hand drive car... so they are effectively on backwards..(can only be fited one way) so i brought them back to the dealer. Ordered a bosch aerotwin set from the auto factors . should get it sorted soon...
