Bosch Areotwins won't fit

Just bought the A539S set 26" (650mm) and 16" (400mm) push button fit which are the correct lengths for a direct replacement but I've tried to fit them only to find out the connector is wider then the slot on the Leon's wiper arm. Halfords recommends the A556S set 24" and 16" which is obviously smaller than stock but the connector looks exactly the same.

Has anyone else had problems fitting Bosch aerotwins to their 2014+ leon? Do Seat/VW use a different standard of push button fit?

I got my Areotwins from halfords and were no problem going on

only thing about them is that they are 24" 16" but no problems

Bosch don't do a exact replacement kit for the 5f Leon, the one they list is the A556S, which they also say in their blurb as not being the correct length. If you want the correct length you need to go for the Valeo VM844 which IMO are a much better blade.

Really? I've heard people not rate Valeo tbh. I'd rather not get shorter blades so the A556S is out of the question which is why I didn't go with it in the first place. I guess its either the Valeo set or get separate bosch blades the AP26U and AP16U which are multi clips.

My OCD wouldn't let me live with the shorter Bosch blade so I had to change them, nor would it have let me live with the multi clip so I didn't even bother trying them. To be fair, the multi clip may be a decent option though.

I had Valeo blades on my last car which performed and lasted well.

Of course, at a price. I was quoted £45 for a set which I think are Valeos in a Seat box.

The Valeos are £30 online.

I bought a full set of Bosch blades as three individual items from carparts4less. Cost was just over £26 including p+p. They fit perfectly.

I got the AP26U and AP16U Bosch from carparts4less.com. Also paid ~£26 including delivery for all 3 wipers.

The multiclips are good, they are fine. They fit well and are a smart finish, they don't look any different to the standard ones once they are on.

Good wipers and a good price.
