Braided Brake Hoses

has anyone on here added braided hoses to their standard brake setup??

my brakes are fairly good but not as good as my last car, and I've been told by a mate (owns his own garage) that braided hoses would give me much better feel on my brakes.....?

we've had a look at the front brake hoses and they are quite long compared to most cars and you can feel quite a lot of expansion when the brakes are applied..... and to think that the expansion exists over the whole length of the hose....

also how much have people paid for braided hoses, and from where?

give bill a shout he sells them for bout £45 for the hoses and somthing like £5.50 p&p i got mine off him and there good well made

do you know if that is for all 4 hoses?

mines a sport not a cupra so the hoses will no doubt be slightly different to the cupra at the back, and presumably the same at the front?

The 1.6 drums use metal brake piping all the way to the cylinder so braided at the rear wouldnt be needed, and even if you convert it to discs at the rear you still wont need braided... However the brakes do get a low better with rear discs.

Hi. In Poland GOODRIGDE are very popullar. What do you buy ? Are you sure I need only 2 at the front with 1.6 SPORT ?

the price is for 2 ? it is extremly good ... in Poland we pay for GOODRIDGE about 100 .....

The rear ones on a cupra are machine crimped and not worth replacing, thats what i was told in the past.
