The brakes look great callum, I'm also not sure if there is a right and wrong way of having grooved discs, I asked the question over in the mk3 Ibiza area and you can have them either way, your way gives less noise, better pad wear but also less bite, logically if you think about te direction of rotationand angle of grooves it makes sense. I think I'd go the same way as yours are you know, how are you finding them now? I think I'll probably get some like this from crn too, what did you ask for to get the pattern you have? Cheers..

fitted this CRN package (40 groove) yesterday and what a difference!

prior to these brakes i was running OEM discs in need of replacement and mintex pads, so not that great lol

by comparison these brakes are wicked, feels much more confident on the fast braking, and more responsive in general.

looks cool too

will need to wait untill they are well bedded to know about noise, but after 80 miles i really like the sound they make, kind of like a plane slowing down lol, not too loud though you have to turn the radio all the way down to hear them.

I fitted in the convential way of the grooves sloping back with the rotation

did a good few miles at the weekend and they've bedded in nicely now

i can notice a slight increase in noise with these but it's not loud or that noticable at all imo (basically you would have to be drving with the radio off to hear it)

impressed with the brakes, they bite well and for the price you can't go wrong imo

Rob, i spoke to CRN (Ollie) and said what i wanted, this was the first set they've done with that pattern so i sent them a pic of how i wanted them and then they just made them up from there, now that they've done a set i'm sure if you just ask for the curved 8/16 grooved discs then they should know what your on about

Yeh they don't advertise the pattern i got, i had to ask for them to custom make them, they are happy to do virtually any pattern that you want for no extra cost which is great (they CNC them all in house so can make up the design and get it made no probs), as i said i got the 8 grooved discs that are similar in pattern to Badger5's that they sell

I got the brakes finished late last night an took it out for a quick spin to bed them in, i can't personally notice any difference in noise at all tbh, i'll be taking it out for a better run at the weekend so i'll be able to let you know more then

Thanks for posting this up, uprated brakes are on my mods list, and this price has made it that much better.
