Brake pressure sensor!!

ive just rang seat customer care and the lady on the phone said the g201 code is a known fault but only on the 55 and 06 plate leons. she said she will speak to there tecnicians and give them my chassis number to see if i will qualify for a FOC repair. fingers crossed

i think people are getting the common problem with the mk2 mixed up with the mk1. its not a known common fault on the mk1

maybe but judging by the amount of threads that appear when typing g201 in the search bar i would definately say its a common fault

yeah but not a known fault via dealerships if that makes sense. not like they are on the mk2 where nearly every car has a issue sometime in its life

well after being messed about by seat looks like Im not covered under the recall and they wont be repairing my car FOC. so has anyone with the G201 fault changed one of these brake sensors on here?

Yeah I got the g201 fault on my lcr aswell the tcs light came on I said I'd chance changing the switch first just to rule it out and bingo happy days... Worth a try as there pretty cheap..

Did you ring your local dealer or seat uk to try and get fixed free? I read you have to ring seat uk to get it authorised.

yea tell me about it. I rang my local seat dealer today about a new brake switch for the pedal. luckily they had them in stock so picked one up and just fitted it. the brake lights now come on as soon as you touch the pedal so its sorted that but only time will tell if its sorted the G201 fault

My light comes on and off randomly when it wants to.. Yesterday night it was off however a friend of mine took it for a drive and it came back with the light on. Left it off for about 3-4 hours turned it back on and usually the light goes off but not this time.. Going to run a diagnostic on it today if its still there
