I need two new front Break Pads for my Leon Cupra R. Ive been quoted £136 for a set. Does anyone know where I can get them cheaper or even just buy the two I need??????

Have a search through this forum. There has been a lot of discussion recently about this so you'll find all the answers you need :)

Welcome to the site by the way!

You never ever replace pads on one side of the car, if thats what you mean. A Rob says, use the search facility. May I suggest Ferodo or DS2500 as a suitable search keyword.

Hi

No brand name mentioned, so I'd personally avoid them. For a similar price you can get the Mintex pads which, whilst not being as good as the highly rated Ferrodo's, they are at least tried and tested and from a good manufacturer. Brakes in any car aren't the sort of thing you want to take a risk on... when you have over 200bhp on tap that's even more important!

But not everybody takes their car on trackdays. And some pads might be great for fast road use but cannot stand up to the constant abuse of a trackday, so I'd hardly call that a fair assessment of them.

this is now the 3rd leon cupra r and....
i have found ,and would beg to differ with anyone, any pad whoever makes it the same as tyres on the front end =10k
with the first car and a bit skint always went the cheap way with the second car pushed the boat out now with the 3rd on 55k given up really till i swap it out but any combination pirellis, goodyear etc etc paying preminum price still same result and driving if anything has moderated as i've ggrown older ,if anything for a smooothhh ride but now find i running kumho(65 a tyre on rear) and ectsa(70+made by some brand?) on front and they've done 11.5k and need changing pronto, would love to hear difference of opinon
