 ;) try to stay in touch with everything lol

I await your feedback on them :)

They cheaper than DS2500?

I hope they're good! Supposed to be made from some magic stuff...

Far from cheaper than Ferodo's

They're used in motorsport, their website say the winning teams of these Championships used Project MU:

NASCAR
GT
SPORTSCAR
V8 SUPERCARS
JGTC
FUJITSU V8
WRC
WTCC
BTCC
PORSCHE GT3 CUP
HISTORIC
24HR ENDURO

Decided to rebuild my Brembos as I was getting imbalance in the brakes, old pads look shot from track time:

Can't really see but the dust seals had a lot of contamination from the oxidising surrounding the piston pot

Now freshened up

New fluid and dust seals

Nice to get some responses on the thread again, it's been a while.

Ah brilliant Gav, nice to hear I can inspire others. I hope to get mine out on track and insure it as my second car, for the first time, this year. Also good to see some old names/ face coming back. :)

Awesome car! Nice to see some familiar cars still on the go from when I had mine :) I'll be joining back in shortly, buying mine back ;)

Thanks for the good words guys.

Been a little slow recently whilst I wait for some revised bells to be made up.

Anyway, that aside we have upgraded from a set of garages to a unit, fairly large one at that:

Finally tucked away

Finally got my disks back after they were redesigned due to a incorrect offset. Calipers bolted in place, pads installed to check fitment:

P.MU look nice with the red :)

Still ringing around to get some insurance quotes but I think in May I will have it on the road.

Great thread. A lot of info that IV been looking for. I have an ibiza running 252bhp that I use only as a track day car.
1 question. I don't know if I missed. Your baffled sump. Is that a forge sump ur baffle plates welded in?

Only this morning was I considering selling up. But this has given motivation to keep going. Need to book another track day now.

Cracking car,enjoyed reading about it.
Looks like all your hard work has been worth it.

Cheers :)

I'm happy it's inspirational for others, I nearly sold about a year ago... then decided it was too far to turn back. Let me know if you fancy a track session together. As for the sump I believe it's a BDM one made by Alex, he now does these via AKS Tuning :)

lovely car you must be very proud !

Thanks Jay, I'm itching to get it back on the road now so I can listen to the gearbox properly.

Heavy day at the unit today, first nice day so tome for a clean!

You can see the tailpipe adapter I made to silence the car on static noise tests!

Can sort of see the new bells

Chuck in a couple of these too, mates Capri coming along nicely:

Had the car running for a good half hour or so since I had to start it to move it outside, so I decided to leave it get up to temps properly. Everything sounds OK but I think the brakes need a bit more of a bleed.

I have now insured the car for the road.

Something that has taken my fancy, is the GT3 style/ race look. A few reasons really:

1. Some rust is re-appearing in the rear arch
2. The rear looks lost compared to the front
3. Potential handling/ larger wheels (easier to find pre owned slicks for)
4. It's in keeping with the rest of the car, at this stage
5. Why not I think it looks mad :D

The next question is what do I go for, what do you guys think? Fibre glass style, mould/ get them sprayed and blended with body. Metal alternatives (potentially)

Also how far do I go, I was thinking something maybe up to 50mm or so.

Anyone good with photoshop, could you help me out?

This is my inspiration:
