Textar do indeed make pads for porsche etc ... but i'm led to believe that their porsche stuff is different to the after market stuff they sell.

I don't think i'd want to compromise on brake pads, not least when they're being squeezed by brembos :)

god not this one again

like i have said before if they are designed for a purpose they must be able to do the job obviously these wont be as good ad your other more pricey pads but at £17 its not going to harm anyone that wants to give them a try that may well be on a budget

I don't understand the mentality behind buying a LCR / ICR that is running top end brake components and then fitting budget pads to them - surely it defeats the point of buying such a car in the first place .....

Anyway each to their own but if it was me, i'd not fit £17 worth of pads to £500 worth of brake caliper, it would just feel wrong.

but who is to say that actually are budget pads just because a company is able to offer a product with possibly less of a mark up (which is the opposite of what seat probably do with the standard pads) why does that make them crap?

a lagitament company would not offer a product that is indicating that it is suitable to work on brembo calipers if it was up to the job companys spend a lot of money ensuring they are not open to liability.

These pads in question as very likely to be equally as good as the pads you recieve from the factory when you purchase a car but not as good a other aftermarket pads which is obvious

The way i'd justify DS2500 for example is that SEAT charge whatever they charge for their OEM pads, i'd be happier fitting proper pads from Ferodo for the same money - not fitting equivalentish quality pads for less :)

well yeah true and thats the way i see it as when you modify a car you usually produce more power than it originally had there fore pads that were originally designed for a the standard car my not be good enough now.
But not everyone does that and some people just want to replace parts for as cheap as poss.

but people should not be so eager to state that something is **** because they wouldn't use it or cos its cheap they might be spectacular but no one gets to know cos everyone tells eveyone else they are **** with out trying them

because they are BUDGET pads...
you get what you pay for.

try em find out first time you use em in anger and fail to stop because they do not cope with the heat, and or wear disks severely as they overheat cooking the binder leaving the gritty media behind to rapidly wear the disks..
and how do I know this????

been there. done that

each to their own, but its very ill advised IMHO

Oh dont get me wrong im not saying they are likely to be a good pad not for that price.
But i just find it annoying when people who have not even tried something for them selves can say i've never heard of them they must be **** cos of thier price.

Like i previously said on another thread of the same subject a guy was in need of some pads that day but the only ones he could get hold of were those, in which case there would have been no problem him getting those for the time being given their price
