After giving the rear brakes a freshen up i noticed my n/s front brembo has a crack in the laquer and is holding water giving it a sort of frost look has anyone refurbed there calipers as it dont look to appealing at the momment

Rub them down with a fine grade wet & dry paper but be careful not to rub off the Brembo stickers. Don't go down to the paint, just rub the lacquer off. Then give them 4 or 5 coats of new lacquer and they'll be shiney red again!

By the way Phillc, muchos like the new wheels :).

Cheers jamjay i am very please with them PITA to clean though.
When i had my brembo's done i found the red is not painted on but powder coated so if you brushed brake fluid (carefully)on the calipers the lacquer will peel off a treat, then spray with a degreaser and re-lacquer.

I really want to respray mine (i've done the lacquer thing) but I don't know what paint to use, a similar shade to OEM, nothing illuminous. I saw a thread where the guy used Halfords high temp and they were too bright for my liking.

high temp paint is a must on brembos... get very hot under hard braking mate.

why not whip them off and get them re powdercoated proffesionally.... last for ages then.

ive had no problems with mine, and its just standard paint
