Bumper lip

Ive been looking at my lip on the front bumper and I was wondering why it has two holes cut out on the right hand side (as you look at the car) and the rest are blanked off?

Does it have something to do with the cooling of the car?

More to help stop water ingress into the belted areas/airbox area?

thats what they are cut out for but i believe it was the tdi's that had a scoop coming up from there, but an ideal place for a cold air feed providing you dont drive through deep pudles

Because the Ibiza shoud have a engine guard underneath..... and the vents for the cover were on the side of the two slots. I've cut the rest of the slots out and it looks miles better!

The cut outs are for cold air feed to intercooler on tdi models

Im not going to cut mine out, I dont want mud n crap getting into the belts! Would look alot better all cut out tho

I've never had mud and crap get into the belts, in the 2 years of having it done.

mines the older pre facelift, the grills in the sameish places though, with all the holes cut, and no underguard, and its always been fine, belts etc are perfect, and its been in ALL terrain
