Hi all

I know this is a topic that's been covered to some degree before, but I was wondering if I can get the opinions of some of the regulars as to whether you think the Revo Technik PCV revamp kit is worth the extra money over the most recent revision? I'm not particularly interested in fitting a catch can but instead just replacing my existing PCV, which is leaking.

What are everyone's opinions? Worth paying £80 instead of £35? Does the current revision of the OEM PCV still break?

Well I've had a latest revision fail on my S3 and replaced it with an oem one again.
I've also ordered a Revo pcv to fix it for good.
It seems the luck of the draw if you get a good oem one my last one had the 2 check valves in it but I could still blow through it.

I tried a catch can on my first leon FR and it was an absolute pain.
It needed emptied every week and when stationary you always got a hot oil waft.
Run it for a few months then took it off, never again.

So it's better to just get like the revo revamp kit rather and a catch can. So without the catch can the oil and crap just gets burnt in the engine then?

I've ordered the revamp kit and waiting on it coming.
I think when you blank the front pcv it just means that it uses the rear one but stops putting all the crap in the inlet manifold and stops you losing boost through the front pcv.

Thanks all, will put an order in for the Revo one probably.

Just as a quick question to avoid creating unnecessary threads, anyone know of any companies that do a specific map for the 185PS BWA TFSI engine in the Leon TFSI Sport? Or is it compatible with the maps for the 200PS versions?

Badger 5 are probably my local modifying specialist.

I'm sure the 185 sport and tfsi 200 map to the same. The cars are identical just a retuned version.
So any if your normal tuners will be able to map it no problem.
Remember though you get what you pay for.

My pcv revamp came today and I fitted it and drove the car about 20 miles and didn't notice any difference.
I've removed it and gonna sell it on to help fund my tts engine cover instead.

I've been running the REVO PCV delete for ages now, Noticed no difference but it removes the troublesome PCV which "can" be a pain
