Cambelt & Major Service Done!

Well, i'm £500 poorer tonight but got alot done at my Skoda garage!

Full Service inc all Diesel Filters, Oil Filters, Brake Fluid, Air Filter cleanse and Pollen Filter etc etc

MOT which it PASSED!!!

Cambelt, pre tensioner/pulley/new roller etc

All done very professionally with a smile and some discount too

Brakes are so savage now with new fluid and adjustment, forgot how good they were, keep stopping before junctions!!

Cambelt change has really tightened the car up, seems quicker??

Oh well, blown my FMIC money too, booked hoilday to St.Tropez for 2 weeks DO'H!

fcuk me thats a great price i think mate tbh, cars always pull better after a well adjusted cambelt change too, shame sabout the IC money bein gone tho, specially with (hopefully) the warmer weather comin

Just cause we've got alot on this year going away in her mum's finance's caravan for a week taking my dog to.

did you get the metal water pump impellors? and did you ask about the coolant smell?

Rash when i was at vw on thursday the water pump's with either the plastic impellers or the metal one's (cany mind which one) are faulty and break

read it in a vw mag

No, didn't replace it,I think, pass, havn't looked!

Going to mention coolant next week, but it doesn't smell atm...

least its out of the way now, i need mine servicing again soon oil is pretty dark after 8k miles,
rash when does 20vt cam belt need doing 60k? thnik ill get my brake fluid changed again soon as i did my own 2 months ago but not sure if has made any difference!

i think the cambelt is at 40,000miles mate but mine was done at 25,000 under warranty shame they put it on wrong

half way there if its 40,000 but think i read it was 60k. well might not have the car then but new one might need it doing and think it will be a bit more on a 3.2 vag engine!

going ffor an audi a4 or tt? the 3.2 engine does sound nice i drove and worked on 1 last wednesday

better than that rash, r32 mk4 hopefully need to drive one though for a while so i can see if i really want to change

you bugger i do love the r32! not that quick standard but with a super/turbo charger its a diffrent story!!! a bit more dolar than the lil beezer tho

about .5 slower than mine over quater mile but in sure its a better all round car have been thinking how often do i go from standing start through all 3 gears and have fun that way, not that often so r32 will be fine performance wise put milltek on it and jobs done maybe air filter as well lol

a guy at work has got an R32, his mpg is shocking!
