Can someone help me in locating my Leons horn ?

Rookwise

Meeeep Meeeeep !!!!!
The horn has finally decided to give up on my 2002 Leon 1.4 and needs replacing.
From what I've read there are 2 types of horn fitted to leons and I dont know which one. Apparently something to do with the different types of connector used. My Leon doesnt have a factory fitted alarm so I know it only has the one horn.
I've also been told that the cars horn is behind the bumper on the passenger side but I dont know what it looks like. The only thing I can see when removing the lower grill insert (where the fog lights go) is some kind of box with 2 wires going into it and is attached to a metal strap via 1 bolt.

Could this be the horn ??
Anyone know how much they are and a part number ?
Does the whole bumper have to come off to get to the horn ?

I managed to take a couple of pictures of the part.

If you can see in between the front bumper and the radiator, there should be a 'crash bar' there which is just as i says. You will find two horns attached to this bar maybe. On my car their there might be different on yours

I am quite sure that the thing with the nut on top of it is the horn, you can get at it underneath the car you may have to remove the undertray (if you have one), it looks like you can unplug the wires and undo the nut from the front the horn will then drop down, putting the new one in might be a bit trickier. my horns are exactly where yours are on my cupra.

stick your hand under the bumper on the NS behind the foglight sort of area. - you can't miss it :)

Failing that - remove the wheel arch liner.....

the horns are known to fill up with water in the bad weather this could be whats stopping it from working , try taking it off and mounting it with the trumpet facing down. this will stop future water ingress.

Meeeep Meeeeep !!!!!
The horns been working on and off for about 8 months now. Just put up with it until now as its packed in.

Cheers everyone. Looks like I got the right place. Have got some hydrulic (spelling ??) lifters in the garage so the car will be going on that save me crawling around on the floor :p

Any ideas on a price for a horn ??
