Congrats mate, i also put my deposit down yesterday on a cupra, hopefully picking it up tues or wens, it's lumina orange with gloss black wheels, 9k on the clock, 58 plate, for 16.5k, it was up for 17495,

I certainly will be :D I currently own a 270bhp 330lbft megane sport, so stepping into the cupra with 237bhp and 221lbft seems a bit slow lol (altought it's not compared to it's rivals)

What spec is the Megane running?

Two FWD hot hatches - why?

I won't be running both of them i am part exchanging it,

Meg spec is,

stage2 RStuning remap
godspeed IC
pipes all replaced with forge

and thats it.

I wanted to get something with 2 extra doors because i have a little one on the way

The Cupra should give you healthier gains when it comes to mapping etc ;)

Though the torque is way up there on your Megane!

I WILL be adding k1 kit, remap, all in good time, I did notice though the handlng gets heavy around corners, maybe because of fw drive and the power, but the boxster was 3 times better handling

not once you map the cupra. Stage 1 has more torque and hp than stage 2 megane. Stage 1 cupra leaves the new focus RS behind.

How would you know that you have the settings right, this is the only thing putting me off revo because there seems to be so many settings that you can have but how do you know you have the best for your car if you havent got vag.com

Revo does have standard settings that you could run happily all year round without any issues. However if you delve further its adjustability allows you to optimise the car for various conditions, fuel, hardware mods etc. All depends how 'into it' you get.

Running the standard settings for Vpower fuel are B6 T5 F9, on standard fuel i thing the timing drops to 2.

Torque will be over 300ft/lb or there abouts.

so say if i had an uprated airbox how would that effect the settings, and what would you have to change to get the most out of the airbox mod

sorry for all the qeustions im new to all this lol

To be honest unless you are changing the whole intake system its unlikely to give you any decent gains. With a good cold air intake the car should handle higher boost levels better. You would probably see some gains anyway without altering settings!

if you are unsure about the right settings for the mods you have, or going to have, you could always pm one of the revo guys or ask somone on here what settings there running with similar mods. Its really not as complicated as you think read page 7 on here: http://www.revotechnik.com/products/pdf/SelectPlus_AdvancedUserGuide_V0707.pdf
