mine will be fitted when the box is out for diff and clutch, i was in allens car when he got his done, there is a bit of noise at idle but no vibration atall, when on the move there is a great raspy noise that i love. not sure how much it would cost mate as i am having it done as part of the deal, but it wouldnt be alot maybe an hours labour or so. give him a phone, hes a good guy

Alot of people reccomended them, steveJnr isnt it? Wonder what my chances are of being fit in on saturday....

thought i would give my thread an update since my car is coming home from statllers tomorrow with wavetrac diff, sachs clutch, Extreme + remap, VF 3" intake, BSH engine mounts, Aircon removed, WOT box, Lightweight ARB's, so it should be a totally differant car to what it was when i dropped it off!

another few goodies waiting at home for her to waiting to go on including ~
P4120012.jpg

a set of bilstein B16 pss10's.

will get some vids up of the noise when i get it home

Bet you can't wait! I think my standard ish Cupra is great to drive, so yours is going to be amazing! Apparently your WOT box is amazing, I don't even know what one is but if Hurdy says its good knowing what he drives, it must be!

WOT box = wide open throttle, which cuts ignition timing for a pre determined amount or time to allow you to change gear with your foot planted firmly on the accelerator at all times, it cuts timing when the clutch is pressed for the short time to allow you to change gear

+ points is it limits spool time due to throttle fully open at all times
+ amazing noise
+ Launch control can be set to what ever RPM you want
+ Fairly cheap to buy at £150ish
- points is that it is fairly savage on the clutch and running gear
- costly to have fitted due to time involved £200ish

He is on his way north just now and is quite happy with it. I think he may start fitting the coilies tomorrow unless he is mad and does the back end tonight, and he needs to paint his new R32 rear brakes

Willie will be down on Sunday as video man for Owen and I at Crail :)

Hopefully get some arty farty pics of Owens beast any my chariot Bess tomorrow night.

Ah nice one Al, but only "quite happy with it" lol.

Wish Crail wasn't so far away, otherwise I'd of had a ride up.

Good luck to you both on Sunday, I await a reveiw. [B)]

We should be able to advise by tomorrow night. I think Owen is getting used to the new found horrible noises uprated engine mounts bring. The car becomes very "agricultural" with the mounts - anything that was silent before now clunks or bangs, but it seems to do the trick with regard to performance, so its not all bad :)

Hi folks, was going to do an update last night but between being absolutly knackered and playing with the new toy i didnt have time sorry

First of all

Wavetrac diff ~ I never got to try it out until i got off the 400 miles of carridgeway from sheffeild but after that i never got off the back roads until dark last night, It is a very good peice of kit and never pushed through the corner once, the first thing to give was me as i am not 100% confident in the car yet, already i am going around all corners alot faster than before.

Sachs clutch ~ A bit stiffer to press than oem but very smooth and you can feel how much it bites. very glad i went for sachs as it feels solid

WOT box ~ SOOOO much fun, not sure about the launch part of it yet but the wot shift is great, turbo has harly any spool drop at all, very smooth gear changes and it makes a great popping noise too, will need to have a play about with the launch to see if i can master it.

Engine mounts BSH ~ I would say it has cut wheel hop buy 95% and makes the car feel alot more solid, it does increase cabin noise but i like it, its down to personal preferance but it gives a nice grown and no vibrations.

Autotech ARBs, ~ Very light and makes the car feel balanced, probebly my favourite mod so far, and the only thing letting it down is the lack of coilovers which will be fitted today.

VF intake ~ Not sure its much better than the dbilas but it produces a great noise.

decat ~ better growl from car, seems to spool slightly earlier,

Extreme + ~ doesnt feel as fast but it is soo linear all the way from 3ish to 7.500rpm, the car is definetly faster han before but cant compare to revo yet until tomorrow, personally i think revo is slightly quicker...

i can only thank the guys at statllers for all the work they did to my car and also speaking to GIAC to specify the map to my car. They are 2 top guys and are willing to go out their way to help..
I drove more than 800miles to have them modify my car and dont regret it atall. Anyone wanting some car mods head to them...
100% recommended by me!!!

now i have got a day of coilover fitting and tweaking to get the car to the way i want it.
