Tiny update, tyres are off the wheels and i tried one on this morning on the rear just for a quick teaser to myself!
Hopefully nothing a 195 profile tyre wont sort out haha:
IMO they look miles better than the fr wheels, think the car just needed a nice set to finish it off. They look mint on the car in person and i think they will suit it, which is good as i was having a few doubts before (Namely Nick telling me they were sh*t wheels :| haha)
Only dilemma now is do i get them refurbished (centres done in gloss or matt anthracite with polished lips...........or any other ones people can come up with?) then wait a few months for tyres when the weather is better. Or do i get tyres sorted out now and run them until the weather is better, then get them refurbed?

get new tyres and use them see how they look as they are then decide if you want them refurbed.

I only ordered the carbon ones last friday, should arrive sometime this week. the standard mirror ones arnt in best condition. Think your right about the tyres, need to get some ordered!
i got 4 yokohama parada spec 2 tyres off e-bay last week for £223 which i thought was a bargain and there pretty good tyres not tested them fully yet but for the price i really cant complain.
yeh ive got them on my fr wheels off ebay, ordered 2 last month and another 2 coming this week sometime. Think they are class tyres, even work well in the wet imo.
Ill just need some slightly skinnier tyres for the bbs wheels so its doesnt rub on the back with the 20mm spacers still on. Just done wanna take them off as i want to keep the stance looking pretty good. Found some 195-40-17 tyres on the net, either falkens or kumhos and they are only 55 quid each. Continental ones in that size are 120 odd a tyre :|

Just Read your whole thread i like what you have done, i have used that film loads on mine and mates cars and i think its really good, prevents stone chips and if you dont like it its reversible in 2 mins. And its legal 
Leave the silver mate, with the carbon centre caps they'll be pukka
Are they 7.5'' wide? If so 205/40/17 will stretch nicely, nothing mad! 195/40/17 will make the ride a bit crashy...
They will need refurbing eventually like cos water has got under the laquer abit behind the wheel, cant see it at all from the front but im fussy haha
the 205's ive got at the moment are yoko's and they are always abit wider than other brands, so need to get new tyres for them anyway, just dont wanna risk it. Otherwise ill have to go fork out for some new spacers. Think ill be getting falkens or kumhos, was talking to a lad on ed38 with the falkens on same spec wheel and he said ride was good etc
I was abit worried at first so have done my research, as at first i thought the same as you so asked a few people. Should be okay i hope!

Cheers matey, one of the photos above where the fr wheel is on the front and bbs on the back, that was the decider for me, the fr's just look plain and boring in comparison. Just need to get tyres sorted for them!

Cos id expect you to say that to any wheels i got haha cba going with the norm, i wanna get the car noticed for been that little bit more/ different. If i like them once i get the tyres on they would be getting re-furbed a few months down the line. Black centers wouldnt be out the question
