i did actually forget to say my car has spent a total time of 4 months so far at the dealership.

is it on finance?

If so tell vw finance that you refuse to pay anymore as the car is not fit for purpose and watch SEAT UK get their arse in gear.

Worked for a guy with a audi.

location , location
contact customer service they will give it a case number and will also feature in their weekly meetings , so it might be a fault they have recognised before.

I reckon that you guys have reached the stage where you should seek legal advice. Perhaps try the CAB first?

Lodge a complaint, detail all the events and dates and seek advice from trading standards. I think you have been very patient so far.

I know that some of these problems are difficult to locate but the downside with dealers these days is if nothing is reported when they plug the module in and fire up the computer they are stuck!

ith this in mind I have chosen to go to specialist sports service centres for my next service as hopefully they will spend a little more TLC on the car and work harder to find faults.

Hope resolved soon mate, fingers crossed for you

i have rang Seat Customer Centre and they said that the Dealership needs to send a Technical Report first, so i said that it was done on the 2nd time it visited the Dealership. so I asked to speak with a manager and they said yeah we will take your details and ask them to ring you today.

that was at 09:20 this morning and still waiting, if they dont ring today i am going to demand to speak with one tomorrow.

Im slowly loosing faith in the SEAT brand :(

you have my sympathy!my fr has been back to the dealership six times with a seemingly unfixable problem since last june and is currently at the technical head office in milton keynes were there have already been two unsuccessful attempts to repair it after it being there for five weeks.i also am fast loosing faith in the brand, their only saving grace at the moment is that they have told me they will sort out a replacement car for me when mine is repaired.as for customer 'service':censored:i think your being quite polite!i've lost count of the amount of unreturned calls since last june-just one example:i have to speke to the same guy as he is dealing with my case,on one occasion he promises to ring me with an update within the next two days-two days no phone call so on the third day i rang customer service to be informed that he went on holiday the day after he spoke to me and no one else can discuss my case!!!!i confronted him about this(when he got back from his hols!)and he said "all i can do is apologise."[:@]anyway i hope you have better luck than me.

i expect they are doing as much as they can as quickly as they can.
while i appreciate it is extremely frustrating for yourself and just another job to them, they are genuinley interested in your complaints.
dont forget that it is not the dealerships that pay for warranty claims, and as such each warranty trip to the dealers is paid for by seat themselves, and they are only to happy to stuff it up dealerships that are making claims (even if its just for labour) that are uneccssary or simply generated by the dealerships when the workshop is slow.
can i suggest you dont 'loose your cool' when you do speak to somebody. you might feel like venting your spleen but its the dealerships you should do that to.
it is in seats intrests to sort this as quickly as possible too.

good luck.

Very sad to read this.

Audi are getting no better press on ASN. Their carefree aloof customer service has enraged many people recently, and it seems to be getting worse.

You'd think in times like this where business is critical to the survival of some of the motor trade franchises they would try harder.

Make you laugh when dealers say you should use the dealer network and NOT independents as they have all the specialist experience / equipment (hence the hourly rates).

Keep my fingers crossed for you mate.

ok the manager eventually rang me back.

He has created a case for this and gave me a number for tracking the case. He also told me to book the car back in and ask for a curtosy car, which i will do after my lunch.

He then said tell the dealer you have spoken to us and give them the case number so they can also contact them regarding this.

So will book it in and see what happens. Thanks for all the replies and views
