car chugs

has anyone had this prob my toledo 1.6 mk2 as i said before revs while idleing, and when i take my foot off the accelerator it chucks hard to drive smoothly my brother thought i was just taking my foot off till he drove it, but recenetly she has chugged a few times like the fuel injectors where sucking in air when i put the boot down in 2nd or 3rd gear no she is going in to the dealers on friday to sort out the temp gauge so hopefully she will be sort it out , its very annoying cause i only got her serviced last summer 4000miles for me?

Is it sluggish after gear change. have you done a search..... not sounding like a MAF prob is it?

i've done a search but only found one about chugs and stalls at starting it could well be the maf. I'd imagine its something like that
